INTERPRETATION
It is appropriate as we approach that TIME of YEAR - particularly in view of tonight's total eclipse of the moon and that phenomenons relationship to SUPER MASSIVE BLACK-HOLES in their role as engines of creation - that we should consider Deng Ming-Dao's words -
INTERPRETATION
ALL that we experience is subjective.
There is no sensation without interpretation.
We create the world and ourselves;
Only when we stop do we
see the truth
Inner truth is only glimpsed by disconnecting the mechanism of interpretation.
If we can withdraw the activities of the senses and isolate that part of the mind responsible for filtering sensory input, then we can temporarily shut off the ongoing process of interaction with the outside world.
We will then be in a neutral place that is wholly turned inward.
We are left with an absolute state, entirely without distinction or relativity.
This is called nothingness - and it is the truth underlying ALL THINGS

The SPIRAL of LIFE
There is no sensation without interpretation.
We create the world and ourselves;
Only when we stop do we
see the truth

ATTACHMENT is the great fabricator of illusions
REALITY can be attained only by someone who is detached.
Simone Weil
Very true, Michael, very true!
Well said–at this point of complete neutrality where not knowing and knowing merge, the faults of perspective seem moot. It is the void which defines purpose.
Enough attachment, I am pulling the plug… :)
I want to be able to BE, as I feel when I am in the water…free
I want to dream, and make the dreams and visions reality….truths
I want to be responsible for my actions, while not letting that moment of fear…connect me again.
I want to mirror love, with all I can BE, and that is going to be very interesting :)
Thanks, Michael
I think I will rejoin my friends at the butterfly farm :)
I’ve never heard a better discussion of nothingness. You helped me simplify my understanding of a sacred and necessary experience.
Such a wonderful example of your maxim of ‘behind simplicity is complexity” and how you think about being able to handle complexities through thinking about them in simpler terms.
I think your art work is absolutely stunning. You are so talented, Michael!
Well it's time to clean the toilet…yes…times 3 tonight I think, tonight :)
Leaving on a jet plane tom, I think around 1200…we shall see.
Maybe they will keep me snowed out again. I like it here. Feel like a princess,
:)
ALL FOLKS R welcome
I have since given the term 'nothingness' a label, a word, and that is 'blisstasy'' and anyone interested in more on that can go to my blog and search for the word as I think there are two references.
